This restaurant is housed in The Madison Candy Company which originally began operations in 1899 and constructed the building in 1903 after finding success. In 1950, the building underwent remodeling. The site was designated a landmark by the Madison Landmarks Commission in 2001 and is also listed on the Wisconsin State Register of Historic Places in 1997.
