A Look Forward … University Crossing

 University Crossing, the former 14 acre Marshall Erdman & Associates medical building campus in the heart of Madison, is transforming and evolving as a green mixed use development with great linkages.

 It’s been quite a busy two years at University Crossing. In April, 2013 UW Health moved into the Digestive Health Clinic and since then there’s been no letup in the pace of activity. University Row Apartments welcomed happy new residents in September, 2013 and the last office suite at 749 University Row was delivered July, 2014.

 We’re full and looking forward to more growth and service.

 So, what’s on tap?

 EVP Coffee @ University Crossing is expanding! Our beloved coffee connoisseurs and vendors will be adding the vacant adjacent space (712 square feet) to their growing coffee footprint. The new floor space will be used for the preparation of food, soups, bakery and smoothies and will serve their entire west Madison footprint. Look for construction to start sometime in February/March, 2016. We’re grateful for EVP’s commitment to helping us to best serve our clients and friends here at University Crossing.     

 In a crunch and with the endorsement of the Spring Harbor Neighborhood Association, UW Health was able to temporarily move 300 parking stalls to University Crossing from the Hill Farms State Office Building site in October, 2015. Eventually, once the UW Health master plan is completed these temporary parking stalls will be replaced with additional clinic space and structured parking. Look for activity to continue on UW Health’s satellite west campus sometime in 2018.

 University Crossing has become a successful and model green and sustainable infill project on Madison’s near west side with superior linkages to downtown and all parts of Madison. The second multi-tenant office building at University Crossing (University Crossing Office #2) is now being preleased. Located at the highly visible intersection of University Avenue and Whitney Way, this 54,000 square foot office building will be a sister building (similar in quality and sustainability features) to the highly acclaimed 749 University Row office building and will be in the ground as soon as an anchor tenant surfaces.
